Two days Orientation Programme on Tourism for weavers concluded

Imphal 26th Oct 2019:  A Two days Orientation Programme on Tourism for weavers was conducted by Manipur Tourism forum and sponsored by Directorate of Handlooms & Textiles, Government of Manipur, from 25th -26th Oct 2019 at Audio Visual Room, Imphal Peace Museum from 9.30 am – 3.30 pm

Day 1 (25th Oct 2019)
A short semi-formal Inaugural function was conducted at 9.30 am. Function was inaugurated in presence of
1.Dr Th Dhabali Singh – Founder President Manipur Tourism forum & CMD Babina Group
2.    Elangbam Jiten - Joint Director, Directorate of Handloom ad Textile, Government of Manipur
3.O. Minoda Devi - Programme Officer Bishnupur District
4.Kh Krishnan – President, MTF
5.H. Radhakrishna Sharma – Immedicate Past President - MTF
6.Haobam Joyremba – Member, Manipur Tourism Forum

The following orientation Lectures were conducted on the first day
1.Tourism Scenario: Dr. Dhabali, Founder President, Manipur Tourism Forum and CMD Babina Group
2.Tourism Introduction: R. K. Sharma, Past President MTF, Managing Partner Seven Sisters Holidays
3.Handloom and Textile of Manipur and its core strength vis as Vis Tourism Perpective: Mutua Bahadur
4.Marketing Concepts; Handloom and Textile product with Tourism Perspective: Prof. Ch. Ibohal Meitei Director, MIMS
5.Manipur Tourism: Strengths and its Future: W. Ibohal Singh MCS Director Tourism Govt. of Manipur

Day 2 (26th oct 2019)
The following orientation Lectures continue on the second day from 9.30 am
1.New Product Development concepts vis a vis Tourism aspect: Sukumar Haobam
2.Case Presentation of Successful Handloom and Textile Outlet: Mrs Kalpana, Rani Handloom
3.Case Presentation of Successful Handloom and Textile Outlet: Mrs Bimolata, Ningthibi Collection
4.Communication Skill: Kh Bobby Singh, State Mission Manager-Skills, Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission, Dept of RD&PR, Govt of Manipur.

All together 17 weavers attendated the orientation program
A Semi formal closing Ceremony was conducted in presence of Shri Lamlee Kamei, Director, Handloom and Textile, Govt. of Manipur, at the end of the day. An honorarium of Rs 1000 per day per person and Certificate of Participation for the Trainee/Delegate were distributed at the closing function by Shri Lamlee Kamei.
